What is the confirmed parade route?6:30PM | The parade leaves Eastern Esplanade car park (formerly known as the Gasworks) 6:30PM-7:15PM | The parade makes its way along Marine Parade to Southend Pier. 7:30PM-7:45PM | The parade finishes on Western Esplanade by Roberto's. 8PM | The fabulous free fireworks finale is set off from a barge out on the Thames just east of Southend Pier, but you can see them from anywhere along the seafront!

Is the parade free to attend?Yes, it is free to attend the parade.

Is the parade route accessible for wheelchair users?Yes, the parade route is accessible for wheelchair users. The Parade takes place along Southend's iconic seafront, which is flat and easily accessible. There is a viewing platform on the raised area by the fountains for wheelchair users on Marine Parade. From the High Street/City Centre, access is via Pier Hill. There are lifts to and from the seafront, which are located at the bottom of the High Street.

Will there be food and drink stalls at the parade?No, but there are plenty of seafront businesses where you can buy burgers, fish and chips, hot doughnuts, ice cream, and more.

Do I need to register to join the parade?You must register to be in the parade. You can find more information and apply at Join the Parade | Southend Halloween Parade. If you just want to watch, no need to register, just turn up on the day!

What are the parking options for the parade?You can find parking information at Getting Here | Southend Halloween Parade. The car parks fill up quickly, we recommend using public transport if you can.

Is the parade dog-friendly?Dogs are not allowed to be in the parade. We do not advise bringing dogs to watch as it can be crowded and noisy, plus there is a fireworks display at 8 PM.

Will there be road closures during the parade?Yes, there will be road closures on Marine Parade, part of Western Esplanade, and Eastern Esplanade.

Will the parade go ahead in bad weather?The parade will go ahead unless there are storm or hurricane conditions.
